TLC Assessment File Downloads

Instructions

We have assessment packages for BioExplorer and Infiniti software. If you are using Infiniti software, you will also need to purchase the CD, Infiniti for The Learning Curve Edition Suite, from the Biofeedback Foundation of Europe. The CD provides the implementation you need to gather and export data from Infiniti software into the TLC Assessment.

As of 8/28/11 there is a new version of the Assessment, v. 6.6. This version includes enhancements to the Histogram and Analyze pages. The 2 channel design for BioExplorer now exports text files which can be loaded directly into the assessment. You no longer have to go to BioReview to create these files.

There are versions of the Assessment for BioExplorer users who have 4 or 8 channel machines. These include Designs, Reports and instructions that allow you to do the TLC in 16 channels with either 2 or 4 3-minute passes. The assessment works with the Infiniti version that Francois Dupont has developed that allows trainers using the Infiniti system to collect 18 channels of data in 3 passes.

To keep the number of pages manageable, some pages are hidden. As always, you should set up the assessment so that it fits the way you prefer to use it. Once the TLC is open, you may go to the Format menu in Excel and select Unhide to see a list of the hidden pages. If you use the Amplitude page or wish to see other pages on this list, you can simply unhide them (please don't unhide the Raw or Data or Data Power pages). If there are pages visible on the assessment that you never use or don't wish to use, you can select the page (bring it to the front) by clicking its tab at the bottom of the file, then in the Format menu, select Sheet: Hide.

For people using the ABCD Assessment Service, the folders also include the Training Plan Request you must fill out and instructions for implementing the training plans you will receive.

You must have a version of Excel later than 97 on your computer to use the assessment files. TLC does not support earlier versions of Excel.

Each package is in the form of a zip folder. Save the folder to your desktop. Open the folder. From the panel at the left, select "Extract all files." Click Next and Next. On the Finish screen be sure "Show extracted files" is checked, then click Finish. This will open a folder on your desktop with the assessment files in it. Open the Install Instructions Word file and follow the instructions. It's a good idea to move the zip folder somewhere where you won't confuse it with the extracted files, or delete it.

If you encounter any problems downloading or extracting the files,
