Alpha Series Neurofeedback Amplifiers from TeleDiagnostic Systems

TeleDiagnostic Systems has over 35 years experience designing systems for EEG processing. The Alpha400 and Alpha200 are high performance amplifiers with several advanced features and a great warranty. And a great deal on BioExplorer. They are used with BioExplorer software, and plug into your computer's USB port, so no battery is necessary.

Both are 501(k) FDA listed medical devices. The Alpha400 has 4 EEG channels and 3 auxilary channels. (There are only two reference inputs on the Alpha400. Channels 1 and 3 go to Ref 1 and Channels 2 and 4 go to Ref 2. Thus 4 channel bipolar recording is not possible.) The Alpha200 has 2 EEG and 2 auxilary channels. The Aux connections are proprietary, they must be used with TDS connectors. Several peripheral devices are in development. You can also contact them about designing a connector for your device.

Operation is controlled by a software interface, which is Windows XP and Vista 32 compatible. (Vista 64 coming soon.) Through the interface, the units can be turned off and on, the auxilary channels can be turned off and on, the Alpha400 can be set to 2 or 4 EEG channels. You can run an impedance test on all electrodes and see the results on the screen. And you can set the range of the input amplitude to 50, 100 or 500 microvolts, to maximize the power of the analog to digital converter.

In addition, on the Alpha 400, you can link the two references via the software, so you don't need a jumper. The Alpha400 also has a calibration feature, which generates test signals across a wide range of amplitudes and frequencies.
