QDS Focus

The two-channel Focus continues the same great specs and noiseless operation as the QDS ExCalibur and Quantum in a small lightweight package that uses a 9 volt battery. The Focus comes with a leather case that secures the battery to the Focus and has a strap that allows the Focus to be attached to a chair back or other structure.

Make It Clean
The best mass-produced amps produce internal noise of at least .5 microvolts. They use high impedance pre-amps to cover up this noise and bad electrodes or connections. Unfortunately, subtle EEG signals are also blocked. Each QDS amplifier is individually assembled and tuned. Cases, wires, boards and chips are chosen based on an absolute commitment to shipping devices with internal noise readings of ZERO nV. Thus there is no need for excessive input impedances, allowing the most complete EEG signal to pass into the training software.

Make It Fast
The best feedback requires the cleanest, most complete signal. It also requires accurate, fast signal processing. Speed and resolution directly affect feedback to the brain. Bit rate is the width of the highway through which signals travel. Eight or 12-bit amplifier have 8 or 12 lanes. QDS amplifiers carry 16 bits at a time! The baud rate is the speed at which signals travel on that highway. QDS amps speed signals at 57,000/ second--50% faster than the next fastest BioExplorer amplifier. With 16 lanes of traffic, that’s a LOT of data passing each second!
